Hannah Waddingham left James Martin's Christmas Day cookery special viewers in hysterics as she helped in the kitchen on Sunday.
The actress, 49, admitted her lack of cooking skills as joined the host in preparing a sumptuous festive meal.
Viewers branded Hannah an 'icon' and 'National treasure' as she guzzled wine before asking to use the chef's tea towel to mop her sweaty brow.

Hannah made a recent US chat show apperence to speak about her Home For Christmas Apple TV+ special, but she also discussed her hit role on Ted Lasso.
Hannah, who portrayed Rebecca Welton in the comedy series, admitted the cast are 'mourning' the show after season three wrapped things up for the characters.
She said of the prospects of the show returning: 'I don't know, hongkong grand 4d I would love there to be a world in which we can dip in and out and see them over time... but I don't know.
'If you guys are mourning Ted Lasso, trust me the cast are mourning it more.'
Hannah also involved her Ted Lasso co-stars in her Home For Christmas TV special, and revealed why it was important for her to do so.

'They all had to be in it really because [Ted Lasso has] so much been the springboard for me,' she confessed.
Hannah - who has a daughter Kitty, nine, from a previous relationship - also spoke of the importance of the venue as the London Coliseum was where her opera singer mother Melodie Kelly used to perform.
'It was insane because the main part of the special, the heart of it like 20 minutes in, I tell people why we're there in that building,' she said.
'It's because I was there from the age of eight with my opera singer mum, she was there for 30 years, and I used to sit in the little box. And then my daughter is there, same age, eight, watching me doing it.
'It was the weirdest serendipity, Apple were just insane, they were like "let's do it where you want to do it". That was a real pinch-me moment.'
